Storm is the Official server from the Dawn of Light team, work on this server drives development to the code repository for public release.

To play on this server use the DAOC Portal client and select the server from the list, enter a username and password, and press play.

Changes from Tolakram:

- Bugfix: Vampiirs and Maulers will now regenerate power up to 15% of their power pool when out of combat
- Changed: Vampiirs and Maulers will lose 1% of their power per second when out of combat until their power reaches 15% of their power pool

- Added: Permanent Charm spells to the Minstrels Instrument Line:

- Bugfix: Minstrel, Mentalist, and Sorcerer permanent (not pulsing) charms now have much reduced resist rates.
- Changed: Removed cast times from all spells in the Skald Battlesongs line except Water Breathing.
- Changed: Updated the healing amounts for the Skald and Bard health regen song.
- Changed: Adjusted the level% cap of Hunter Summon Wolf to match live values. This results in a reduction to the lower level pets (88% to 80% of level).

Changes by Phen:

- Added: DoT Proc to Arcanite Stone Bone Impaler.
- Added: 5 Quick Cap to Sililia's Ring.
- Added: Procs to Diamond Spiked Vest.

Changes from Tolakram:

POPULATION BONUSES:
50% bonus to XP for Hibernia
50% bonus to RP for Hibernia

These bonus events will be evaluated weekly.

- Bugfix: Major work on shared timer groups primarily for list caster. This change should put various levels of the same spell on the same timer. If you find a shared timer that should not be shared please report it ASAP including your class, the spell line, and the spell name.
- Bugfix: Fixed Necromancers Facilitate Painworking which was inadvertently broken in the last patch.
- Added: The ability to add names to the server ignore list and have the IRC channel ignore those names. Use /ircignore {name} to add and remove people from the list.

Changes from Tolakram:

- Bugfix: Corrected AF overwriting for Paladins
- Bugfix: Corrected a blank icon for the heretics Kindled Shield
- Bugfix: Casting a spell on an enemy (including archery) will be interrupted if the caster changes targets during the cast.
- Bugfix: Heretics ABS buffers are now all in the same effect group. This has been confirmed via Pendragon testing.
- Bugfix: Heretics only receive the latest spell in their enhancement line
- Bugfix: Closing an Arena should no longer crash the server!

Changes from Tolakram:

- Changed: Re-worked grouping of Armor Factor buffs to determine which spells can exist together. All caster self AF buffs are in group 1, all non caster self buffs are in group 2. Baseline concentration based AF buffs are in group 1, while spec concentration based AF buffs are in group 2. The Paladin group AF chant is in group 3.
- Bugfix: Removed pet based damage shields from the AF buff group which may have prevented these shields from working if the Pet had an AF buff.
- Changed: The dragons will now have a small chance to throw any player or pet in melee range. Necromancer shades will no longer be thrown.
- Changed: Thrown pets will take some falling damage.
- Bugfix: Dragons will now switch glare targets correctly.
- Changed: Reduced the level of keep guards and lords in cooperative Arenas.
- Changed: Reduced the level of all guards in lower level Arenas.
- Changed: Slightly reduced the level of Arena Keep Lords.
- Changed: When creating an RvR or PvP Arena the level will default to the players level.
- Bugfix: Number of players in an Arena should now count correctly.
- Changed: Server restart message now in a dialog box rather than a popup window.


Changes from BluRaven

- Changed Malice Axe Encounter: Increased Malamis Str and Con and also increased the value of his DOT spell and also increased how often he will try to use it, due to player feedback that he was too easy. He should now be more of a challenge.
- Fixed: Malice Axe bug where players were not getting credit for the encounter, they will now receive credit properly (if they qualify for the encounter credit).

Changes from Phen

- Added: Cure Nearsight charges added to Azure's Folly,Staff of Perfect Incantaion,Staff of Ageless Power.
(These changes are Live I missed the last patchnote.)

(Live) Patch #321 - posted 5 days ago

Changes from BluRaven:

- Fixed: Appeal command will now work for EU clients. EU clients do not receive a pop up window when filing an appeal, instead it is handled through chat messages. This is due to how the EU client handles the appeal command differently then the US client.
- Changed: Appeals will now follow the account rather then the player. This means that you can now switch to a different character and your appeal will still be active.

Changes from Tolakram:

- Bugfix: Keeps in combat (attacked within the last 5 minutes) can not be claimed or released.
- Bugfix: Armor Absorption buffs+items+abilities are now capped at 50% before taking armor ABS into account.
- Bugfix: Most absorption spells are now in groups for baseline and spec to prevent players from being able to having more buffs active than intended. Item effect and Animist short term buffs have not been grouped.
- Bugfix: Fixed Dragon aggression issues, slightly lowered chance to throw players
- Changed: Increased housing hookpoints again to hopefully work around vault issues

- Hotfix (live now): There are teleporters available in the Tutorial This! coop arena to port players to each realms tutorial zone. In addition, each keep has been taken over by renegade guards and can be captured.

- Hotfix (live now): Added Dummy mobs outside the north gates of Camelot. These mobs range from level 30 to level 70 and can be used for testing.
